Luxury Forged Fire Sets, Using Centuries-Old Skills

A Ferro E Fuoco modern andiron is made from reclaimed steel, recycled from old railway tracks. These contemporary fireplace accessories are hand-forged by Italian artisans using a 500 year-old water powered hammer. This age-old process gives a unique and tactile aesthetic to A Ferro E Fuoco high quality fire tools and luxury forged fire sets.

A Ferro E Fuoco’s Designer

A Ferro E Fuoco’s designer Marco Ferreri is a highly regarded Italian architect and designer. Born on February 26, 1958 in Imperia, Ferreri finished his studies in architecture in 1981. He has lived and worked in Milan since 1984 and as well as working in industrial design he is also engaged in architecture, graphics, and installations. He has lectured at universities in Italy and abroad. He teaches at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and is a Professor at the Politecnico of Milan.

Many of his objects form important design collections which are seen all over the world, like in the New Yorker Museum of Modern Art, the collection of the Museum of Israel in Jerusalem or the Collection du Fond National d’Art Contemporain of Paris.
His works received many famous awards: his “Less” chair, produced by Nemo and “Libroletto” (designed with Bruno Munari) won the Design Plus Award 2000 and his Foglia chair won the Red Dot Award in 2002.

Marco Ferreri is member of the Ordine Architetti Milano, A.D.I. and WFB / Bureau of European Designers Association. He teaches at several Italian and international universities and he exposed at the fourth international exposition for architects in Venice and the first architecture-biennial in Beijing in 2004.

Conmoto was founded in the late 1990s and is based in NW Germany. The company works with leading German and Italian designers to create a unique collection of contemporary fireplace accessories and high quality fire tools.
