Compact hanging garden seat pod is a unique modern design swing seat, suitable for year-round use in the garden and home.
Compact hanging garden seat pod comfortably sits 1 person, and is also a year-round piece of art for the garden or home. Compact modern hanging lounge pod can be suspended from the branch of a tree, a beam in a house, or from a stand.
Compact hanging garden seat pod is hand-made in basalt fibre – a once Top Secret polymer – used by the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the aerospace industry. Basalt fibre is light yet extremely strong, making it a truly versatile material – ideal for rocket cones and fuel drop-tanks. This remarkable material has now been applied to more peaceful and creative purposes – Compact hanging garden seat pod weighs a mere 9kg, yet has a load tolerance of 300kg!
The intricate hand-laid basalt fibres are finished with a durable satin black polyester gel-coat finish, which ensures a lifetime of outdoor (or indoor) use. Supplied as standard in black, Compact modern hanging seat pod is also available on request in other RAL colours – please contact us for further information.
With the addition of a sumptuously deep Sunbrella cushion,Compact hanging garden seat pod becomes luxuriously comfortable, ideal for whiling away the hours in the garden or home. Sunbrella is the highest quality exterior fabric currently available, and is water repellent and machine washable. The Sunbrella covers are removable, and are available in Heather Grey (taupe) or Charcoal Chine (mid grey) fabrics.
Compact garden hanging seat pod is supplied as standard with 3m of hemp rope to hang Compact from. The hemp rope makes a great contrast with Compact’s cool black modern design. Should you require more rope, please contact us.
